It’s been a frigid week here in Budapest, so most locals will be pleased to know that the National Weather Service is forecasting slightly elevated temperatures in the low single digits for Friday, following some painful lows recorded Thursday morning across the country (including -14°C in Bekescsaba and -12° in Szeged). Across the country the forecasts call for more of a mixed bag, with snow in the north and northeast and possibly rain or sleet in other areas, with potentially strong winds from the south.
Meanwhile, according to this report on Origo.hu, the slight warming should have a positive impact on those suffering from inflammation or infections, while others may experience headache, fatigue, drowsiness, and irritability. We kid you not.
