Crafty Christian Mayor Fools Concerned Citizens, Evicts 68-year-old Double Amputee

The picture above left is of Tamás László, who is the Fidesz-Christian Democrat mayor of Budapest’s District XV. He’s also a monster.

According to various reports, last Monday Mayor László invited a group of 50-60 activists from the Hungarian Social Forum (MSzF) over to his office, supposedly to discuss a letter they had earlier sent (and which he had ignored) imploring him to stop eviction proceedings against one Nagy Lajosné (right). The 68-year-old woman, who had suffered two strokes and the loss of both of her legs to amputation, was being evicted along with her 15-year-old grandson because she was late in paying her water bill, not being able to make ends meet on her HUF 75,000 (EUR 260) monthly pension.

While meeting with the mayor the do-gooders gradually smelled a rat, and rushed back to Lajosné’s flat to find that he had used the get-together as a ruse to send in an armed eviction squad. Unfortunately, it was too late for them to prevent her from being evicted, but not too late to be arrested and dragged off in chains for trying.

Not cruel and unusual enough for you? No problem, because it gets worse. Apparently, the authorities want to put the grandson into a group home, even though he had lived with his grandmother since he was a baby. And when Lajosné held a post-eviction press conference to appeal to the authorities to get her grandson back she suffered a third stroke, and is currently in critical condition. Did we mention that Mayor László is a Christian Democrat?

And here is what people were saying back before we forced readers to use Facebook to comment. Weren't those the days?
  1. coin says:

I wonder what his version of the story would be.

  2. foog says:

Let’s evict the mayor. Torches and pitchforks time.

  3. Andy Boda says:

Just as in the U.S.[especially Florida] the folks who label themselves more Christian than the rest seem to commit the most un-Christian acts. While it’s comforting to know that his final judge will take a dim view of his actions I would still like to be in charge of warming the tar and gathering the feathers when foog calls on His Dis-Honor.

  4. Democrat says:

Nothing will happen to him. The timing was a coincidence. People have misunderstood the facts of the case and he is going to sue the people who have made such scandalous accusations.

Who is this man’s boss? And why has he not removed the man from his position in the last 10 days? Who is actually accountable for anything in this sad country?
