Barely a month after a Balaton cop went on a homicidal-suicidal rampage, a member of the force in the capital has followed suit. Last Friday, a 35-year old policewoman named Tímea M. was knifed to death by her former lover, Csaba Z., in the woman’s flat in Szigetszentmiklós, on Budapest’s Csepel Island. The couple met at work and Tímea M. left her ex-husband (also a policeman!) and their six-year-old son to live with Csaba Z. But she soon broke things off, sending Csaba Z. into a rage, and eventually over to her place to seek revenge.
According to witnesses, after Tímea declined to buzz Csaba into the building, he rang every bell until someone let him in. He then talked or forced his way into her apartment, stabbed her to death in the chest, and then tried to do himself in the same way, apparently unsuccessfully. Jesus. [blikk.hu]
