No Hungarian Stuntmen Were Harmed in the Filming of this Die Hard Scene (But They Were in Others)

The good news for local “Die Hard” die hards continued this week in Budapest, with filming for the latest installment of the beloved Bruce Willis vehicle ongoing throughout town.

Yesterday afternoon the center of the city was buzzed for hours by various helicopters, including at least one military aircraft provided by the Hungarian Ministry of Defense.

But the real excitement was on the ground. On Monday an amateur auteur shot the above video of a nice staged crash on the corner of Eötvös utca and Szondi utca in District VI. Not pictured: A different crash that same day that resulted in a camera piercing the chest cavity of a Hungarian stuntman. The kaszkadőr was taken to the hospital but is expected to live to die hard another day. [bors.hu/index.hu]
