Survey Finds Young Hungarians Encouragingly Honest About the Pointlessness of Being Honest

party-tards

In probably the most telling snapshot of youth attitudes in Hungary since last December’s encouraging survey on teen addiction and juicy, hot unprotected sex, a new poll by NGOs Transparency International and Kutatópont reveals that a vast majority of local youngsters think the only way you can get ahead in life is by lying, cheating and stealing. While only 20% said they didn’t like corruption, most said that getting into a good university or a good job was more important than being honest. Well, at least they’re being honest! And here is what people were saying back before we forced readers to use Facebook to comment. Weren't those the days?

I read the report too, but did not get the same out of it.
Yes, kids believe corruption to be rampant in government and politics, but there seem to be remnants of idealism still left~~they wouldn’t choose it for themselfes (mostly). I recommend the report.
