Police have caught an international organisation specialising in the sale of stolen smart-phone components, after a two-year investigation police Lt. Col. Attila Varga, announced on Monday. He said the organisation had sold Ft 500 million worth of spare parts abroad. Workers stole various chips, phone components and finished handsets from a Hungarian factory owned by a Canadian company, then sold them to people working in the same factory who then sold them on to two Serbian siblings in Budapest. The leaders of the gang sold the spare parts abroad through mail order services, primarily in the Far East. [HATC]
