It seems like a serious case of carrying coals to Newcastle, but according to various local news reports based on this press release, a US-based firm called Chanticleer Europe will soon open the first of what is planned to be several Hungarians outlets of the American bar/restaurants chain best known as the place divorced males bring their young sons to eat hamburgers and ogle at waitresses with short-shorts and big-ass titties.
“We believe Central Europe in general and Hungary in particular provides a unique opportunity for an iconic brand such as Hooters to thrive,” said the firm’s head, one Alex Hemmingway. Anyway, we should all be supportive, because unlike many multinationals present in Hungary, we assume this one will source their product locally, despite the occasional supply chain issues.
