Health authorities in Beregszász, east Hungary, were moved to take some extreme emergency measures after a “large rabid dog” attacked and bit eight pedestrians over the course of just a few hours last Thursday. The rampaging animal even bit the police officer sent out to impound it before it was finally subdued by street vendors in the town square.
