Firefighters captured tens of thousands of bees from a tree on Budapest’s downtown Váci utca on Tuesday. Spokesman Máté Kisdi said firefighters are obligated to respond to situations which constitute an “immediate threat to human life,” which this one apparently was. Firefighters do not normally have bee experts on hand, but this time they were fortunate enough to find a firefighter who was also a beekeeper. Too bad they didn’t find one who was also a pimp, then they’d be able to do something about the other form of dangerous pest always swarming the place. [index.hu]
