Sziget Festival Organizers Pay Protection Money to Keep Police Away from DJs

Al-Capone.jpgFollowing raids on DJs at the VOLT festival and other nightlife locations, the Sziget Festival organizers have come to an agreement with MAHASZ, Hungary’s music association. The organizers have agreed to pay all licensing fees on the part of DJs, and have therefore agreed to pay out the going rate for the week, which comes out to a whopping grand total of approximately Ft 100,000 (€360), although next year we suspect it will be much higher.
