Magyar Border Guards Get Black Striker’s Black Bentley Back from Black Market

Bentley_Etoo.jpg

Hungarian border cops on Sunday nabbed two Ukrainians crossing in from Serbia at the Röszke border post driving a black Bentley luxury car that they determined to have been stolen in March from Cameroonian football star Samuel Eto’o in Italy, where he plays for Inter Milan. While the crooks had wiped most of the identifying markings off the roughly €150,000, diamond-black auto, the cops honed in on the chassis number. If only our national football squad was this resourceful! [hvg.hu, cameroonwebnews.com]

  1. C'est Moi says:

This is like racial profiling for eastern Europe…stoped for driving a black man’s car. On another note, WTF is ‘diamond-black’?

  2. Ricsi says:

The ‘chassis’ number is the most obvious identifying mark on any car,so not so bright theives.
‘Diamond Black’ as in black metallic with real lustre,it’s a colour much favoured by ‘blacks’ :)

  3. "Insurance Quote" Jackson says:

Who cares? Now Eto’o will get a brand new car paid for via the insurance company. The head price who owns the insurance company will get to use this one and everyone is even more happy than when this fiasco began! Great skill on the part of the thieves. I’m sure the insurance companies would LOVE to see this happen more often…
