West Hungarian Village in Finals for Creative Jewish Cemetery Desecration

autocross.jpgWhile Hungary’s anti-Semites and non-denominational vandals have over the years marked up more than their fair share of Jewish-cemetery desecration outrages, a zsidó temető out in the western village of Kisvásárhely shows signs of having been messed with in an exceptionally twisted, if not notably malicious, way. According to the village mayor, the cemetery – which locals in 2007 won an award for renovating – shows signs of having been used as an autocross racetrack. [zalaihirlap.hu]

  1. Godwin's Law says:

Here we go again. Of all the vandalism that goes on in Hungary, only the Jewish cemetery makes it to the news. Why? Desperately seeking anti-semites? Keep up the one-sided reporting and you may find a few.
It’s so obvious that the hostile Jewish lobby depends on their permanent victim status. They want special treatment, more influence and more money of course. They have the USA to cover their backsides, they enjoy the support of the clueless masses, so they are going to push it as far as they can. The few informed people who try to push back are called “anti-semites”. It’s a convenient way of discrediting the opposition. If this is how the term is overused, then Godwin’s law should apply.

  2. Erik says:

@Godwin: Hey, you’re way off base here – we would
have run with this even if it was a friggin pet
cemetery. THEY ARE USING IT AS AN AUTOCROSS TRACK!
Also, you’re worse than Hitler ;)

  3. kun & grun says:

Godwin’s Law: Hungarian Jews got plenty of ‘special treatment’in the summer of 1944 when Hungarian clerks drew up lists of 430,000 Jews who were rounded up by Hungarian Gendarmes and put on Hungarian trains to be gassed at Auschwitz. Even so, I’ve still heard people complain that there are ‘too many Jews’ here. Perhaps you should seek out your like minded company on other websites. I am sure you know where to look….

  4. david says:

With only about 100,000 Jews left in Hungary, why do we need so many cemetery? Why not integrate them all into one place and like Dohany you can have a free huge police presence there to protect the graves. Everybody is happy, even the dead.

  5. Szabad Ember says:

That’s a pretty ironic remark coming from a guy who calls himself “David”.

  6. Will G says:

Um, Godwin, as a American Jew, I can tell you with
all honesty, I really really don’t think the US
gives a rat’s ass about the plight of the Hungarian
Jew….actually neither do i, but that’s not really
    relevant now ;)
