Summer Tram Stop, Ambulance Accident Season Kicks Off in Outer Pest

tram-ambulance-chaos.jpg

Two especially horrid auto accidents that happened in Pest while we were on vacation are worth a mention. In the first, three people were injured – one of them seriously – when a car ran into a tram stop at the intersection of Róbert Károly körút and Lehel út in District XIII on July 5. Police said the driver of the car (right) coming from Róbert Károly körút wanted to turn right at the intersection but lost control and slammed into the tram stop, and the passengers waiting on it. The following day, an ambulance van overturned on Üllői út near Petőfi utca (District XVIII) after colliding with a car (left). Six people were injured, one seriously, in the chaos.
