Traffic Rules Temporarily Un-Suspended Again for Rich Bastards

pearl-colored Ferrari 612 Scaglietti booted in Budapest

While it’s not yet an “official” trend, for the second time in less than a year we were gratified to see a super-expensive car actually ticketed and booted for parking illegally in Budapest, this time a pearl-colored Ferrari 612 Scaglietti (list price, approx. €275,000) near Szabadság tér in District V. Two other reason to maybe not be too happy: One, such a demonstration of equal justice under the law is still so unusual in Hungary that we weren’t the only ones taking a pictures of it (note dude with camera phone in pic) and, and two: it had foreign plates. Still, what a beautiful sight.

And here is what people were saying back before we forced readers to use Facebook to comment. Weren't those the days?
  1. Bloody Foreigner says:

Wow, i live close to Szabadság ter and i actually saw this on my way to work one morning, and i was wondering why there was so much attention for the ride (With all the people stopping, staring & taking pictures)…..
Didnt know that it would actually end up in the ‘news’
