Hungarians Discovering New, Impressive Ways of Killing Each Other

Hungary's innovating present seems lackluster compared to its innovating past, and with new reports coming out about how Hungary is one of the least innovating countries in the EU there's little to suggest otherwise, but we here think that all these "experts" have simply been looking in the wrong direction. At least for the region, Hungary seems to be leading the way in terms of finding unusual ways of killing people. For instance, an 18-year-old man beat an 87-year-old woman to death with a wooden spoon in Békés last week index.hu reported, which is an unusual weapon to use, but not as strange as a toilet plunger.
In semi-related news, a 92-year-old man hit another old man in the head with a hammer at a Szentbalázs senior's home early March, local news portal sonline.hu reported. And in the big shocking news from earlier this week, a man in northwest Hungary hacked his family apart with an axe, before killing himself with a knife and a chain-saw. And who says there's no innovation here anymore?
Well I've seen "The Texas Chainsaw Massacre" - but killing YOURSELF with a chainsaw ?
I love my Stihl too much to try killing anything with it ...
About 9 years ago, a friend of mine lost his ex-wife and 2 daughters to an axe murder committed by her new husband.
To this day he is screwed up. He says, that he can't stop reliving/imagining what their last few moments of life would have been like.
It was reported in the newspaper, that some of the more seasoned cops found the scene, one of the worst that they have ever encountered.
I guess the purpose of this post was just to add, that behind these " impressive ways " of killing each other, some family member is possibly wondering what their loved ones last few minutes of life was like.
@ Wolfie;
Who cares how grotesques killing ones self with a chainsaw could be like. Imagine your Father coming at you with an axe like this man did.
@justasking:
Any killing is horrendous in my view - and I'm not even trying to understand how someone could kill his family in any way.
We had several cases lately in Germany, where everybody shuddered, whether it was some crazy (I think you have to be really sick to do this) killed his wife and children.
The other remarkable case is a young man who together with his friend (maybe they were gay lovers, the trial trying to find this out is still running) first shot his two sisters.
Then they went into the restaurant where his parents were having dinner and asked when they might come home.
After the parents came home they were also shot.
On the young man's computer the police found a detailed to-do-list:
Check all bank accounts, get the money from Switzerland (around 300 000 € the father had there), order a new car, book a holiday and so on ...
The verdicht is expected in a few weeks.
Quite apart from the obscenely Hungarian-hating way this header jokes about what normal human beings would consider a tragedy – that is, a psychotic parent killing his entire family and himself – I wonder if commentators have bothered to read what the circumstances of this case are? Even Magyar Hirlap, not known for being ‘far right’ or by any other pejorative terms the ‘left’ likes to use, notes that there was never the least indication of the father’s psychiatric illness. But the police say that he murdered his wife and children quite grotesquely, then stabbed himself in the chest several times, then took to himself with a chain saw. Really? The cheapest of Hollywood nasties would find this too improbable to propose. This, I put it to you, was a murder: an entire family, living on the outskirts of a village, were brutally set upon and slaughtered. The police were directed to sweep this under the carpet. Or is the quite improbable police account of what happened more plausible?
