Since we did so well predicting a now-firmly established pseudo-trend about Hungarian dogs, we’re now going to go ahead and call another one: Giant chicken eggs. Less than a week after we reported on a giant egg that had been laid by a chicken in Paks, another Hungarian chicken has crapped out a giant egg, this time in the Tolna County village of Simontornya. According to the chicken’s owner (József Balogh, pictured left with eggs) the giant egg – which is three times the size of a normal egg – was probably the result of all the corn and wheat he stuffs into his birds, one of which apparently squeezed out an egg just this side of giant sometime last year, thus confirming that the laying of giant eggs is, in fact, a trend.
