"Statueatory" Rape Crisis Continues as Beloved Village "Madonna" Pinched

How's this for pathetic: Some as-yet-unidentified thieves have made off with a statue that is the symbol of the Heves County of Tenk. Unlike many of the statues of grim-faced politicos and writers previously pilfered in Hungary, this one depicts a young woman carrying water, and was a popular spot for locals to get married. Or we should say depicted, because by now the thing has probably already been melted down for scrap. Sad! [index.hu/tenk.hu]
Let's face it. Hungary is on a collision course with Hell. As an American-Hungarian, I can't stand the damned place any longer. I used to love traveling there with my parents up until about 1995. After that, the place just took on an attitude, a poop smeared-high grandeur, I could no longer associate with. Even though the streets are covered in a fine filth film which covers your clothes whenever it rains, somehow the Hungarians consider themselves to have the greatest nation on Earth, with balls that hang to the knees, ready to take on the world in whatever primal urge they conjure up for themselves on any given day. I have seen more prostitutes, thugs, gang members, looting, fighting and public sex in Hungary than I would see in the USA if I lived another 1000 years. The pathetic pace of the nation urges me to gag just thinking about it. To pay a utility bill and go to the post office takes half a day. To take care of anything legal takes YEARS. They basically produce nothing in Hungary, other than "coal" which is no longer a feasible commodity. On a global scale, they have ceased to exist. Without foreign assistance in creating jobs, the nation would probably revert back to the stone age. Criminal entities openly rule the nation. Try going to a train station or bus depot. See what kind of criminal is lurking there today. Truly a superficial, Godless nation which constantly prides itself on, well, nothing...
Dear Jackson,
I take your comments as a sort of critical "reality check", and as such I appreciate them. Had you posted this on politics.hu, I could just envision the defensive critical responses that would be directed at you for saying it. Many people don't take such criticisms well, prefering to retreat into a heroic self image.
What you have said fits well with my own observations. I don't see how problems could be fixed if one doesn't like hearing bad news! The strong overwhelming pride that you mention is partly a defense mechanism when Magyars contemplate a world where there are many natiions that are wealthier and more powerful. Without a greater sense of realism, it would be difficult to learn from the experiences of other nations and to put those lessons to good use.
Hungary in many ways resembles other nations that are coming out of a colonial past. The people have not had much past experience in self rule and economic self determination. A glance at history as well as the experiences of other nations in this predicament tells me that these are not things that can be learned in just 20 years, but instead will have to be learned over generations.
As I love cooking, I have always admired British chef and restaranteur Gordon Ramsey, featured on several shows on the BBC. He is possibly the world's most successful fine dining restaurant owner and is a billionaire. When his staff collect the comment cards filled out by customers and read them to him, he gets quite mad when favorable ones are presented to him. He is not interested in compliments, but criticisms! As he is pursueing perfection and excellence, he realises that you can't do that by immersing yourself in flattery and self delusion, but rather need to consider what can be better or improved. Ramsey is a fierce and tough Scotsman, and his attitude is one that Magyars should be inspired by when considering how to make their country better. Denial and an over inflated sense of self worth and pride are harmful not just in the restaurant business, but in the running of a country as well.
Dear Mr. Farkas,
Thank you for your response. Politics.hu is far too "scrambled eggs" for me. These pages are a bit more light hearted. As is not evident by my pervious comments, I have a deep love for my heritage. It's the liberalization of the government and general population I don't agree with. The last time I was in Hungary was 2007. On a trip to "Hosok Tere" I witnessed a camera crew of two, a director, an actor and an actress having sex in the middle of the square. Obviously, no one is allowed to film porn in a National Public Square. None-the-less, the Hungarian Police, who were 75 meters away, did NOTHING to disband the thugs and allowed the filming to resume for over 25 minutes, uninterupted. The tourists, in about 8 buses all immediately departed. How can I be proud of what is occurring in Hungary? What's next? In a society that believes in nothing, no humane behavior, no belief in God, anything goes. Sex with animals? cannibalism? In a world where children are stolen from their parents and turned into sex slaves, not only Hungary, but the rest of the world needs to take a hard look how fringe societies impact society at large. "Jackson"
@jackson:
Didn't you know that Budapest is the European centre of porn
I think only the USA produces more porn - go figure ...
Dear Wolfi,
Actually I did know. A poor statement to have to digest. Yea, Hungary is a part of Europe, I guess. You guys get along far better on a leash with your ex-rapists Russia, than you do in the new and free world. Porn is far, far underground in the USA. If a prostitute shows up on a street corner, she is taken away by the cops within MINUTES. Liberal stupidity has conquered older ideals in Hungary and eastern Europe. If I had anything to do with it, you guys would never be allowed to enter the E.U. Let's wait and see what happens in Greece. It may be the beginning of the end of the dry pretzel you and your neighbors call the E.U. I really don't think you understand the control you are under with this E.U. stupidity. The only people who win are corporations, mafia and other over and underground criminals. They can easily ship their "stuff" from one nation to another without even having to stop at borders. The money? What a scam. It looks like play money or a stamp you buy at the post office. Aren't you proud of your nation? Don't you want to have your own money with your own language and national figures printed on the bills? Some of your low class chicks are hot though. They remind me of walking Barbie dolls. Good for stuffing, not for anything else. Now go have a "Menu" at McDonald's and make me rich...
Mr.Jackson@All your hate filled vile can't excuse the fact that you do not know Hungary STILL as its own currency, with its own language and figures on its bills,we will not get the hated Euro until 2014 if ever.(perhaps you are thinking of Slovakia?)
As for all the other negatives, guess what, they all followed your democratisation process.
One more point you should get corrected-Hungary produces very little coal, most mines closed down by 2002.(perhaps you are thinking of Poland?)
Perhaps you just need to visit again and see the real Hungary (negatives and positives)instead of this fictional nation of your imagination.
I never wrote Hungary has the Euro, did I. Please read my lines again and tell me where I specifically write that Hungary has the Euro. I wrote my statement, in the manner I did, to trap someone. YOU are the lucky one! You Dope! I do know Hungary. Better than you belive. Now go out and pee on your common entry door like everyone else in your city does. Kiss on the cheek, "Richy"...
If Jackson is totally wrong, then I say thank God it's not true, and there is no harm done in the "real world". If any of his criticisms have substance, then it's a problem to be addressed in the "real world". Whether he is motivated by "hate" or just disapointment is beside the point.
Throughout the region, not just in Hungary, people have very sensitive and insecure sesibilities when it comes to mentioning national problems. Get rid of the gangsters, throw the whores, embezzlers and thieves in jail, get the economy going, clean up Budapest, make public services more efficient, and we'd all be ahead.
Actually, I was born and live in the USA. I am also a Hungarian citizen. Go figure, eh?
"Porn is far, far underground in the USA"
I had to laugh at Jackson's statement, yes it's only a mouseclick away, whether you are 8 or 80 years old, you can find it without any problems on youporn or redtube and so on.
And "fresh flesh" is always needed, that's probably why the production business is booming in Europe.
Exactly as with drugs, where the US is also the biggest user ...
PS:
We like the USA, will go on holiday to SFO and the Wild West over Easter ...
@Jackson: What you say about the police and porn I can't argue with, it's all true and can be factually verified. I wish it couldn't but there you go, that's what the police and sense of civil disorder has become.
@Ricsi: You're so spineless that you really can't take any criticism. The stuff Jackson goes on about filth covering the streets is too far, but HungarianAmbiance, Kuruc, Barikád and plenty of others have all linked to or embedded videos complaining to exactly the things Jackson is going on about
@Laci: Elle, Ricsi, Big Jim (over at politics.hu) are all well out of line with their comments to and about you.
@All: (but particularly all the mű-magyars) To see what Jackson is complaining about you only have to search on "Hősök terén pornófilm" or some variation. It has been covered by plenty of news outlets in Hungarian. And as an example of exactly the kind of video and lack of police response that would deeply offend any decent person *Do not click the link if you are at work or easily offended*:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=R8vIifti_xk&feature=player_embedded#at=56
I find this, well, outrageous. Really, WTF are the police there for. And people wonder why Jobbik are growing in support? Decent Hungarians need to get up off there arses and demand better.
And someone find the people in the video and sue their asses off!! (As get rid of all the police stood around watching)
Vandorlo@you obnoxious little child with your 10 years Hungarian language studies, makes you feel so superior in at least one department I suppose!
Turkey awaits,God help them!
This loud mouth Yanks criticism could be applied to ANY country almost-certainly the UK nowadays.
Jackson@ You re-read your comment, you implied Hungary does not have its own currency, you also said we only produce coal! You are so out of touch.
@Ricsi: I've not yet been here three years and I've only ever taken a three week intensive language course (2 years ago).
How's your's going? Tudsz pötyögni valamit már? "Nyelvében él a nemzet." - mondotta Gróf Széchenyi!
Turkish/Turkey is an 'insurance policy' just in case the mű-magyars take over.
Do you think your friend Jim actually understand what money is? You people have such a lovely simple world view. Must be comforting. Thank god you are not Hungarian.
Dear Ricsi,
Of course it's a regional problem, not just a Hungarian one; one sees evidence of organised crime, corruption, prostitution rings, run down infrastructure and inefficient services in almost all former communist states.
The awful thing about communism is that it continues to affect a society even after it has been officially dropped! The 20 years since 1989 have not been enough to correct it's legacy. It'll take much longer to get over it, but a start has to be made. I hope the coming election makes a difference.
Here we go again. I never said Hungary doesn't have it's own currency. Read what I wrote. Why do you have to read into everything? That's in your head, buddy. If you read my lines 5 more times, I'm sure your'll come up with 5 new variations on what I "mean" rather than what was written. I was wrong. Coal is not produced, it's mined, so the only thing Hungary produces is little Chinese slippers. They are also sub-contracted through the Chinese, so it's questionable if the Hungarians actually produce anything on their own! At least Mamuka can sew shoes together on the Alfold while her kids get stoned on palinka.
Does anyone know of specific products Hungary produces? I'd love to be proven incorrect.
I have the ultimate fix for Hungary's woes. 100% certain to turn Hungary into something resembling a banana split with a cherry on top. Coming later this afternoon...
@Jackass: Congrats on upping the stakes in the competition for who is the biggest tosser award.
Dear Jackson,
Without perhaps intending to, you have caused a stir on the sister website politics.hu, where I have had to make numerous posts explaining myself in relation to what you originally said. As I have predicted in my original response to you, it was a possibility that I entirely foresaw, as I have been posting there long enough to know.
You can't escape the flak by just confining your posts to pestiside.hu. Before you consider posting further about how Hungary can be turned around, you have to address the concerns that some have about being a "hater" of Hungary and being a "commie" sympathiser, and you will have to do that on politics,hu, where people already know about you. I'm not one to tell another what to do around here, but I am warning you that any criticism of the nation will not be taken well by some and will be met with a lot of insult.
Hungary is a sorted mess so to speak, in terms of political ideals and many of the old timers- reactionary folks would love nothing more then to go back to the commiee days.
My experience travelling and visiting Budapest the last few years is not as bad as that of Jackson.
Lots of low level type of crime, pickpockets, scam artists, some bars trying to rip foreingers off etc.. But nothing like the US in terms of crime or prostitution. Very rare that you get violent crimes and myself personally have never fallen victim to any type of crime in Budapest.
Problem in Hungary is that "everything for nothing" attitude. When you look at countries like Canada/Norway/Netherlands/UK etc.. everyone or i should say the majority pay a lot of taxes.
Yes, there is a lot of corruption but I honestly think that people where brainwashed into thinking that capitlism is going to make them all rich.
In capitalist countries people live to work where as in socilist countries, they work to live. huge cultual difference.
The other problem in Hungary is the "brain drain" where a lot of very capable, intelligent younger folks are leaving and moving on to a better life in the UK/Ireland/Canada/US et... these folks are not going to go back so in a way, you are losing your #1 resource. Yes, a lot of very smart people choose to stay but in a country with a decling population and negative brith rate(read: decling tax base with an aging population) it does not bode well for the future.
No insult intended on my part. I am on PESTISIDE.HU hello? The whole website is just one big joke. I am not a communist, nor have I ever been. I am just a 16 year old kid who is still in high school! How the hell did I cause a commotion? Hahah. I am sorry if I offended anyone. I have never been to the other website politics.hu. Don't even know what it about other than it's heavy into what's going on in your nation. (which I do NOT follow) I have followed this site only for a few days and have turned wine into water? Peoples, please. Say what you desire. Neither my, nor your opinions will EVER change the world. Jeeez...
Dear Jackson,
Are you really 16? If so then I feel you have yet to gain the knowledge and experience and understanding of what you are dealing with around here. Being American Hungarian, I strongly appreciate your interest and concern for the land of your ancestors. I actually would like to encourage it.
There are important cultural differences for you to process. Your tongue in cheek outspokeness is understandable coming from an American teenager. Americans are used to venting their discontent and criticism openly about everything. In the countries of eastern europe, people are terribly sensitive about finding fault with their societies when these criticisms come from a foreigner.
I welcome your participation around here, but with a few conditions. I suggest you address your posts to me personally for one. Second, if you feel something doesn't seem right about your experiences in Hungary, ask me about it and put it in the form of a question, like "This is what I noticed, what's up with it?" Avoid making pointed judgements and tone down your rhetorical style.
You are very young to be a "player" on these websites. You are "not in Kansas anymore" when you come here! If you understand what I am saying and will abide by the suggestions above, then I will agree to be a mentor and "big brother" to you. Break my rules, and you're on your own. I will plead with the others to allow for your youth and inexperience. what I don't want to see is a young Hungarian American become disillusioned and start to think that Hungary and the Hungarians are a waste of time. They are not!
LF - You are far too trusting in taking people at their words on these sites. Jackson says he was here in 1995 and that he is 16. He formed all his opinions of Hungary when he was 11 or 12...give me a break. Just another poser on this site who doesn't really desire to be acknowledged.
The porn shoot at Heroes' Square that Jackson mentions witnessing didn't happen in 2007, the media was already reporting on it in back in 2005.
CestMoi@ I will give you a break when you get your simple maths right! If he is 16 then in 1995 he can onlyhave been 1 not 11 or 12.
Either way he is showing his true character by lying and thus fails to deserve the support of FL.
Hi Ricsi,
I was aware of the math discrepancy, but when someone claims to be 16, I have to give him the benefit of a doubt, as we have absolutely no way of verfying anything about an individual here.
My offer to be his mentor was a device to defuse the situation. If he is a prankish adult, then he won't take the offer and then: a)will have to either disappear, or b)face the music from this community, which he admits to being reluctunt to do.
His was a problem of style. As a foreign visitor, he could have asked "Why is Budapest looking run down?", or asked, "How can Hungarian exports be increased?", rather than say that Hungary has no exports. These are the kind of things I would have been glad to help him with.
FL@ My comment was not aimed at you,as I am sure you are aware.
All countries are looking a bit run down these days during the crisis, but his comments are over the top if aimed only at Hungary and his statements do not stand up.
Take care Mr.Mentor :)
I am only 16, but that shouldn't matter. What's with the age thing in Hungary? Under 18, you are just a kid and over 40, you are an old man? That leaves a man's true duration of worth to 22 years. Hmmm... It's ok, I really didn't think a few words could make so many "intelligent and educated" old farts toot their horns so wildly. I was right, the age discrepancy was neccessary to gain any type of trust in this room of smoke and mirrors. Anyone know what going on with Cicciolina? (Ms. Anna Staller) Is she still groovin' in the Italian foothills?
well, i am not sure what is wrong about prostitution (referring getting rid of whores, throw them in jail etc). In almost all european countries it is legal profession and altough i don't use them myself, i don't understand why we should even persecute them. It has always been there and it will always be. Pretending otherwise is waste of time.
Of course americans are masters of double standards, i do understand, they are biggest threat to society - not lack of proper social security, ghettos in bigger cities, presidents that go around to attack foreign countries..
Shithead Jackson@So you are only 16? If I accept your word then I also accept your comment that you were last in Hungary in 1995, hence 1 or 2 years old
at most--you know NOTHING about this country, its local currency, its coal 'mining' industry (which died out many years ago) etc...
Even with all the negatives here,it is still no worse, indeed a lot better than many other European countries, and even many parts of the USA.
Grow up some more and then come back to the table to play, you have achieved your juvenile aim to 2 minutes fame here.
Like I said, there's a shitstorm a brewin'. How is that world famous Cicciolina doing? Is she still hiding out in the Italian foothills? Why you so angry? No reason to be. What high school are you currently attending?
Jachead@ I neither know nor care where the 'famous' porn star is,you seem mightly obsessed with whores and porn for someone so 'young'!
My last advice--stick to studying and then travel more.
Bye.......
How is everyone today, Hmmmmm? Porn star? Really? I didn't know that. Chalk up another one on your behalf... So, how are the liberal politicians in Hungary doing? Blowing snot out their noses from their cozy warm political offices at all the tax paying citizens below? Study more? Travel more? Are you kidding? I have single handedly twisted this spring so tight, that we have 33 responses on " "Statueatory" Rape Crisis Continues as Beloved Village "Madonna" Pinched " Have you been to the Faroe Islands? Saba Island? Yea, now were getting into the chunky stuff... Give me your list, we'll compare our locations and see who can let off more gas. PffffT!
Hi Tom,
The problem with porn in the former eastern block is that it is often controlled by organised crime elements, for whom the filming of pornography is but one sideline. These people often traffic in stolen cars, narcotics, "white slavery", weapons, "protection rackets", assasination for hire and anything else that is illegal and has money pinned to it. With these funds, they can then buy police, judges and politicans. The social rot then continues, unchecked.
I'm no prude and porn doesn't bother me as such, it's just that I don't want mafia types running it. In fact, I don't want to see mafia types at all.
Well, praise God for Farkas! Someone with common sense. What do you think the Government should do to clean the rot from the streets? That's the more difficult question. I have a solution, but liberal Hungarians probably don't want to deal with it. They would rather wallow with the swine than catch and smoke it... You, and the rest of us, need laws which treat the mafia and drug lords as "Enemies of the State", and "Terrorists". In this manner, you could impose continuous Martial Law on the sub-humans. This way they have no legal recourse, no rights under common law. The would be held accountable to Military Law, and as we all know, that's heavy duty...
"A Good Way To Apprehend ALL Drug Dealers". Once someone is caught with an illegal substance, they need to be treated with respect and put in jail. They must be held there indefinitely, until they are able to provide precise and verifiable information as to who they purchased the drug from. This way, you create a "ladder of information" which leads right to the Source at the top. Until the Source is apprehended, everyone stays in detox vacation. People would be pointing fingers like dirty politicians. All the dealers would be jailed within months because no one wants to be in jail forever... Am I making any sense here or am I just confused in my own world? The simple course of action often works best. As I have stated before, use Martial Law against all the dealers and importers, call them Enemies of the State and shoot them. They knew what they were doing. BaNg!! BaNg!!
@Mr. Jackson:
Have you made your proposal to the US authorities yet ?
As far as I know there are many more drug dealers in the States than in Hungary (and the rest of Europe combined) ...
Dear Mr. Jackson,
The problem with with enforcement, anti-corruption, drug fighting etc. is not the idea but the implementation. That is where many societies fail.
The condition of Budapest is affected by the state of public finances. That in turn is affected by corruption. The politicains who are supposed to be fighting corruption are often themselves corrupt. In other words we are asking the "crooks" to police themselves. It often doesn't work, not just in Hungary but other nations as well. It's a worldwide problem.
The corruption is fueled by opportunism as well as coerced by organised crime. Become the chief of police, and there will be pressure for you to look the other way from people who not only have money to give you, but guns as well to shoot you with.
Above you suggest something that sounds like martial law. That is hard to do in a democracy.
A "war on drugs" I believe in unwinnable , and other policy options will have to be found that don't empower a criminal class. You can try death penalties like in Singapore, but that doesn't fit into the cultural mindset of every nation. People in Europe remember when the "death penalty" was abused to liquidate political opposition and subversives.
Now since you addressed me, I wrote back. Can you tell me more about yourself? People here are skeptical that you ar 16 for one. Others have sensed a lot of what they feel is hate and anger. I'm sensing that myself. What's up with that? You say you are American Hungarian, and that is the main reason I originally responded to you. If you are 16 and American, then I wonder how well you can know the history of the country, or can understand how it got to be the way it is.
Hungarians are quite aware of the problems you mention. We are trying to move on and fix these issues. If you wish to engage with me further, I would humbly suggest being a little less negative. Then we can discuss constructive change. That is what I have always done on the allhungary websites and always will.
Good morning rebels. Dear Mr. Farkas, your post is filled with fluffy questions. Actually, I should have wrote that I am an American of Hungarian descent. American-Hungarian? Hungarian-American? I think those terms are just a bunch of B.S. I was born in the United States, raised and am attending school here. What else? What's wrong with killing all the drug dealers? Do you know what there profession is? Death. What else do drugs equal? You know how many kids and innocent people die because of dealers? Do you think they have a right to live next door to you? When you are involved in something illegal which kills people every few minutes of every day, you yourself deserve to die. But I guess you are right. Making such a statement makes me equal to the hard asses in Singapore. Well, I'd rather be know as a hard ass than a pussy.
@Action Jacko - A real hard ass doesn't hide here with a 9mm. Come on over to Politics.hu and bring a fresh box of diapers. We're waiting!
Laszlo,
i could not agree more on the mafia, however, prostitution or porn is just part of their activities, and not all porn or prostitution is linked to mafia and indeed, there is nothing wrong if a free person is earning his/her money with either porn or prostitution as it is indeed legal profession.
Mafia, is surely a major problem, however, my understanding is that it is not only prostitution, but real estate, restaurants, private banking, trade unions, drugs, smuggling animals etc they are involved. I doubt we should ban night clubs or persecute bar maids just because there are mafia lot of time involved (and it is not only eastern europe, just see what is happening in Stockholm, UK, Australia, USA, Austria in which places most likely mafia is more relevant than in Hungary).
@Jackson, the 16year old homeowner:
Again, have you discussed your proposals with US authorities ?
Since we'll be flying into SFO shortly, I'd like to know how safe the States are right now ...
@Jackson - Well, I'd rather be know as a hard ass than a pussy.
Done. Let's settle on 'jackass'!
Dear Mr Jackson,
The problem is making it law and doing it. You can ask "what is wrong with killing drug dealers?", but getting a legal system to do it is another.
A dictatorship can execute people all it wants; it by definition is unaccountable to anybody but it's leaders. When you have a democracy and a group of politicians that can be voted out of office, then executing people (especially in Europe) will be questioned by many and can lead to a change in govt.
Don't take this the wrong way Mr. Jackson, but many people don't share your endorsement of the death penalty in Europe. Myself, I'm not "squeemish" about it for certain crimes, but it's one of those issues like abortion, around which you can't build much societal consensus. People wil be sharply divided not only over the wisdom of doing it, but over the wisdom of continuing a "drug war".
You tend to view things in absolutes. It won't work so well in the real world of politics, as people have many different viewpoints about everything. What you are saying in your posts can be done if you seize absolute power and stifle dissent.
Dear Tom,
For organised crime to diversify into legal businesses is an old established pattern seen elsewhere. It is driven by a need to "launder" illegal gains through legitimate businesses, especially those that operate on a cash basis. It is also driven by loan sharking and "protection", where some business owner who couldn't "pay up" ends up forfeiting control of his business to gangsters. Othertimes legit businesses give hoodlums the chance to make more illegal money, like owning a construction firm and bribing/terrorising for contracts.
The job of seperating innocent employees from real racketeers is a job for capable law enforcement and prosecution.
Governments are OPENLY paying money to KILL TERRORISTS and ENEMIES OF THE STATE. You can get lists of people with names and the crimes they have committed. Just show up at the local government office listed on any of many sites with a "bloody head in a bag" and collect your ONE MILLION US $. Am I correct "Invitation", you butt wipe?
Sorry, I was a few hundred million FT off my estimate. If you go to the FBI dot GOV website you will see that they are willing to pay $27 million USD $ For Usama's head. That's 5.3 MILLIARD FORINTS! (5,267,565,000 FT) Maybe a few of you high school teachers or unemployed mathematicians should get your backpacks together and head on over to Usama Land to try to capture him. I think you might be able to buy a few fustolt szalonna on that, eh? Remember, find the right guy. "The Emir" Usama Bin Muhammad Bin Ladin... "Bettawfeeq" to all!
Hello again "Members"...
I must repent. I have sinned. I was under the impression that $27 million was a considerable amount of money for Mr. Ubama. It’s actually spit in the bucket. The war costs 200 million a day, so what is 27 million USD? 8 / You’d need 500 men (killers), 250 vehicles, copters, weapons, time and so on. I’d say 500,000 USD per person would do the trick. So, let‘s do the math. 500,000 USD x 500 killers = 250,000,000 million USD just for the men. What about all the other crap you’d need? I’d say around 700,000,000 USD or about 136,251,500,000 FT (136 Milliard) Even in that case, the chances are about 5% that he would be captured. Those odds are far better than the Lottery…
@Jackass - so, what you're saying is that your bonehead is basically worthless. Ubama? Milliard? Yup, worthless.
Mr. jackson seems to be a pathological liar, but quite funny ...
Writing "Ubama" and speaking of "milliards" where in English it is "billions" (a famous example of a typical problem with calculations and expressions) seems to me to provw that he is not american-hungarian but what the heck ...
Let's all enjoy his crazyness ...
Hi Wolfi
Most US people, with few exceptions, don't understand the word "milliard". Good catch.
Hello All,
I was under the impression that "Milliard" is the same as "Billion" in the USA. Am I incorrect? So, the following number would be either one Milliard or one Billion. 1,000,000,000 (one billion US)Maybe I am wrong. As in all official documents, his name is not Osama, but Usama. Osama is what the news broadcasts since they are stupid. Unless the US Government is incorrect,
his name is as follows (Copy and paste directly from the FBI website): USAMA BIN LADEN. Aliases: Usama Bin Muhammad Bin Ladin, Shaykh Usama Bin Ladin, the Prince, the Emir, Abu Abdallah, Mujahid Shaykh, Hajj, the Director. There is no "O" in his name, It's "U". Sorry. Now go get a Borsodi. It's all you deserve.
Dear Mt. Jackson,
Of course you are correct about a "milliard" being a billion. It's just that few american people know that, especially teens, causing some to suspect what you have said about yourself. You do bring out the detective/cop instinct in Wolfi and a few others!
FarkasLaszlo@It did not need Sherlock Holmes to reveal his inconsistencies-why you are still wasting time with him is a mystery to me!
Keep sane :)
Dear Ricsi
I appreciate your concern. I wonder myself!
As I've been accused of making him up, I feel one need to show that there are two of us, and not one.
Around here, almost nobody knows me as well as you do. Patience is a big feature of mine, especially when I have chosen to engage with someone. My initial intention was to deal with him by acknowledging some of the problems he first mentioned, while trying to defuse his anger and get him to discuss things without resorting to it. Either we could have had a constructive discussion, or he would be exposed for his inconsistencies or lack of moderate attitude. You've seen me operate like this before, but my efforts in this case were interrupted by the complaints from someone who doeasn't know me as well.
Even when someone reveals inconsistencies about themselves, one doesn't know where to give the benefit of the doubt, as we all know each other around here as cybertext! It was a sense of patriotism on my part to respond to his claim to being American Hungarian, which he may or may not be, as I believe in pulling our scattered people together, rather than divide them.
Either way, there is no harm done. Over time, we've seen many disgruntled posters on allhungary websites, and sometimes we have responded to them!
Cheers!
Good Morning to all you Pick Salami sniffers. (I don't blame you, that stuff has gotten to be rather expensive...) So, no responses to the correct spelling of "Usama". I have always found it strange that a person named "Usama" could be renamed "Osama" simply because the individuals reporting on him made it up. It's nice to be able to clear up such discrepancies in our twisted media world. Sorry, I have to go now. My grandfather is going to help me get rid of a big, old walnut stump from our farm. We have a license to use dynamite to get rid of it. I have never seen it done. Will let you know how it goes. Maybe some of you can use the same tactic to get rid of some trees as well? Maybe the apple tree on the neighbors property line? b O O m !
Actually we prefer Gyulai Kolbasz - you can eat it cold or warm in a soup or with your scrambled eggs (nice if you add some red capia paprika, yummy!)
Well for the next two weeks it'll be hamburgers and sandwiches in the "Wild West" ...
It's a pity that we're not allowed to take some good food with us on the plane, just some chocolate from Ritter Sport ...
If we win in Vegas - well that's probably not going to happen ...
Gyulai. Yea... If you want some Hungarian smoked salami, bacon or "kolbasz", go to Bende dot com. I think they are in Chicago. Not expensive and shipped to your door. You can open up the box, rub the stuff on your hands and face like someone who hasn't eaten in a week, then get to work with some tomatoes, peppers, onions and bread. Maybe a bit of zsir, if you can find some. Whew! Now I'm hungry. Tell me how the feast goes...
"Usāmah bin Muḥammad bin `Awaḍ bin Lādin" Now you have me wondering as to why the media regularly refers to him as Osama? Possibly because it's easier to pronounce that way, or maybe the FBI is just trying to piss him off. "Usama" evidently means "lion". Maybe "Osama" means smelly cheese?
