Outrage as Female Cop Fired For Gag Pics While Male Peer Gets Slap on Wrists For Moonlighting in Slovak Gay Porn

So how's this for rough justice: A young female police officer from Pécs has been fired after she was found to have posted some relatively harmless photos on Hungarian social networking site IWIW, while a male colleague of hers from the southwest town of Nagyatád has only been suspended for something quite a bit more… well, just take a fucking look.
According to neon.hu, the policewoman, who has been identified only as Z., was sacked after someone happened upon the shots. The pics, which feature her and her buddies playing with her gun and handcuffs, sound much worse than they are. (Click the link to see more.) "Thing is, considering what others have done and have kept their jobs, this is nothing," said Z. And how!
For his part, the similarly unidentified cop from Nagyatád was suspended after someone recognized him in some shots that ended up online. Until then, reveals borsonline.hu, his colleagues had been under the impression that he had been working as a "model," rather than doing Lord Knows whatever is going on in the picture above right. Extra bonus shocker is that most of his "work" was done in Slovakia, meaning there's a national security angle to his infraction as well.
Either way, the dual standard seemingly at work here is pretty shocking. On the other hand, maybe the authorities decided they couldn't punish the boy in blue/blue boy, who, after all, was really just following through on what he learned at the police academy.
This isn't comparing apples and apples.
Messing around for fun with police-issue guns like
they are doing in these pictures is a fairly serious
offence.
And imagine the cocksucker having to face his
colleagues - how many gay-friendly cops do you know?
I see casual homophobia cloaked in a wise-ass voice is still the
style here. As Pete Townsend points out, there is no "dual
standard" at work in this comparison. If the female cop posted
under her own name on IWIW while using official police gear, then
that certainly involves her professional status. The male cop's
moonlighting work, presumably done under a pseudonym, was
wholly unrelated to his job as a cop, especially if his contract did
not specifically limit outside work. The editorial stance of this site
needs a culture check.
@komolyan, are you suggesting that there is no law against a copper moonlighting? Maybe i am naive, but I assumed that almost all civilized countries followed this rule. Presuming that I am correct, how about somebody prosecuting the police officer that admitted that his buddy was moonlighting? Surely, if he knew of the offence, he should have reported it, as we are all encouraged to do.
@david: what I am firstly suggesting is that the editorial stance of
pestiside.hu regarding gays often sounds right out of the 1980s. As
for evaluating the actions of the male cop in light of the standards
of "civilized" countries, well, now it's my turn to be naive, because
that strikes as a pretty high threshold to cross, especially given the
general slosh of corruption that seems to wet everybody's feet in
Hungary. I don't think the male cop should get an award from the
department, but I also think there is a bright and clear difference
between a cop who tries to earn some extra money in an an entirely
lawful and pseudonymous way, and another cop who blurs the line
between her professional life and her personal life. It is simply
wrong to scream "double standard" when the two cases are, in fact,
different.
The hand-cuffs is not a problem, but the pics when the guy is using her handgun are
There should be (hopefully are) strict rules on how to handle weapons and a Police Officer should be enough clever to understand that letting other people play with her licensed weapon is a no-no
In addition to be so stupid t publish evidence on it, is beyond stupidity
It seems that in Pécs the good citizens need to up their understanding of licensed weapons
The 1st School-killing in Hungary happened recently in Pécs and that was with a legally licensed weapon also, so obviously the people in the South has a bit "relaxed" view on handling weapons
