So as you may have heard, the Hungarian police scored some rare kudos this weekend for apprehending a 22-year-old university student who was allegedly planning to murder 22 people, one for each of his shitty years alive. While we were at first prepared to give the authorities credit for preemptive action, we paused after reading that someone had given him a license for a 9mm pistol in the first place. WTF? Isn’t it supposed to be hard to get a license for a handgun in Hungary? And if it isn’t, shouldn’t it be for someone sporting a “WHY YES, I AM A SERIAL KILLER” hairdo? (Above.) Meanwhile, since the guy didn’t actually follow through with his plan, and he’s being handled by the Hungarian justice system, he’ll probably be out by the time he’s 23 or 24, meaning there will probably end up being two extra bodies when he inevitably does. Good grief.
The first Hungarian School Killer was also a your typical ‘White Hungarian’ guy with a membership in a Shooting Club
Have you ever seen any Roma in those?

That Hungarian Shooting Clubs should be closed down immediately and all guns seized seems to be an appropriate action and would have happened in 5 minutes if the Shooting Clubs had been full of Roma members, but not now
Now we just have to wait for the next School Killer, like in the US and Finland

The Police found 52 illegal weapons and over 44.000 rounds of ammunition
Some of the guns had been held on legal licenses, but the Police also found an illegal shooting range near one of the homes.
If one check the name in the official Police report (my earlier link) you will find the names:

Given their names, the age span, where they live (Jobbik-land), most weapons were from WWII and they have an illegal shooting range, I would not expect them to be member of any surviving

“This guy” was one of 4 especially gifted students of Law at ELTE, he was number 15 or 16 in Hungary in Latin and on the same level in another subject (History?) at his Gimnaszium, so he was definitely not given any preferential treatment.
“This guy” is very bright and clever, but very violent. He was under investigation after beating up his Grand Mother, so you you have to try something else
Also if he looks like a Roma, then all skinheads in Hungary are Roma

May I just point out that when you say “Now we just have to wait for the next School Killer, like in the US and Finland,” the guy hadn’t actually killed anyone (that we know of), so there is no ‘next.’
In any case, the overt racism here in Hungary is wrong, just plain bad. But then, in my experience, much of the negative stuff people say about the Roma has a grain of truth. A walk or tram ride around the 8th district almost always confirms this.

Kidding aside, as Wolfie pointed out that in Hungary we actually had a ‘School Massacre’ (and it were not Schools, but Students getting killed) down in Pecs recently
Add that to the Random Serial Killing of innocent Roma in typical Jobbik-land by the ‘Debrecen Nazi’ and this illegal weapon cache find together with an illegal shooting range, also in Jobbik-land, what conclusions should we draw?

You hardly kill people for a few “grain of truth” and you are obviously walking on the ‘wrong’ side of the Körut when you are in the 8th district (of Budapest)
Try the other side and it will be different if you have a problem with the remaining Roma that still have not been evicted to give room for new buildings
May I point out that the area in question was the centre of prostitution for 50 years in Budapest?
The prostitution in 8th district is no longer allowed since September 1, 1999, but rules are not always applied so stringently in Hungary
It has though very much disappeared from the streets in that district
