Politicians Propose Semi-Nutty Idea to Improve Budapest that We Actually Like

panel-ugly.jpgWhile you can read the various crazy ideas coming out of the Democratic Forum over at our sister site politics.hu (along with the nutty ramblings of some of our conspiracy-minded commenters), a new proposal by the party just got us to laugh, although it could in fact do much for making Budapest look better, which is why we decided to post it over here. Perhaps in an effort to woo green voters , the party has proposed several measures on how to improve air quality, including one fairly radical one: demolishing the ugly panel buildings in northern Budapest which prevents the wind from blowing all of our smoggy air south toward Serbia. Get rid of those buildings, improve air quality and piss off our neighbors? Sounds like a great plan to us! [urbanista.blog.hu]
