America’s “Orszagasm” Rudely Interrupted as Hungo-Handled Budget Big Outed as Hound Dog of Magyar Magnitude

orszagasm.jpg

What is it about male politicians with Hungarian names and women? Back in February we revealed how Washington had gone goo-goo for geeky Hungarian-American budget czar Peter Orszag, whose alleged animal appeal was so powerful he soon afterwards became the subject of a blog called orszagism.com. Now it turns out that the pencil-necked Obamaman rivals fellow félig Magyar politico Nicolas Sarkozy in the “sure, I look like a Muppet, but I hold the fate of a nation in my hand, so let’s have a shag” department.

According to various news reports – no, that’s not right, according to Orszag (center in top pic), who admitted it all without a hint of shame – the guy got engaged in December to a saucy newscaster (right) just a month after a slightly sauceless but apparently very rich heiress he’d impregnated (left) gave birth. Oh, and he’s already got two other kids from an ex-wife! And he’s only 41! He’s like Tamás Deutsch with brains and a toupée. Barf!

Since this is all over the US press we won’t bother recounting the details, but will only point out that if things turn out badly in the US for Orszag, we know of a place where voters wouldn’t care who he’s sleeping with, as long as he makes sure to be equally fiscally promiscuous. Good grief.

Why is he holding his finger under his nose? Stopping a nose bleed or remembering last night?

  2. klara says:

    that would be orszagasm.com
i wonder if he too will be hyphenated after they marry as is T. D.-

When i was living in US i never understood why americans (by and large, there are exceptions obviously) are so obsessed with politician’s or other famous people’s private lives, especially sex life. Maybe it is something to do with puritan tradition all the way from Mayflower…

It’s not only politician’s or other people’s private life but it seems that people are not able to even tolerate normal, natural things like nudity. I was always shocked that my american friends found going to sauna (naked) such terrifying thing.

Showing a nipple in national tv (e.g. ala ms Jackson) is a major scandal when same time tv is full of programs where killing, violence etc are shown almost comical fashion. But anyone who has had been target of violence knows that it is not laughing matter. In Europe you have children’s programs where there is full frontal nudity and i find that much more healthy than exploding one more villain out of existence.

No wonder that they feel that attacking countries half way around the world for the benefit of the companies financing the president is evening entertainment in tv, better than Star Wars.

  4. Benny the dwarf says:

Tom, IMO the sexual phobias are indeed connected
with the history of America right back to the days
of the Puritans. And on the other hand, violence is
somehow acceptable because America has a long
tradition of freedom of gun-ownership and the like,
compared with Europe where there have always been
    heavy restrictions on such things.

  5. wolfi says:

    @Tom and Benny:

You forgot to mention that at the same time the porn industry in the USA makes billions of $$$ …

That thing about always wearing a towel in the sauna is really crazy, I remember once on a business trip in Berlin there was a representative of a US company (young, good looking female, as far as we could tell) among a horde of us naked computer freaks …

Even in the swimming pool we all (including some women) could go naked and she put on a bikini …

The Americans are really strange, the society seems to me very polarized. Still as soon as possible I want zo show my wife the “Wild West”: Death Valley, Grand Canyon, Las Vegas, really looking forward to it …

  6. tom says:

Wolfi, i agree, if there is a country build on double standards, it is US. I am sure we all are guilty of those, but these guys have managed to make it almost form of art.

I have never understood e.g. why an earth you have the “peep” in tv when someone is saying a “bad” word, when major (tough not main) part of US popular culture, movies and “music” has replaced proper dialogue or lyrics with constant flow of four letter words.

Having said this, i do agree that US is great place to visit (living there is totally different matter), you feel like being in zoo in terms of watching people and the “culture” and it has fabulous natural wonders to be admired. And surely, New York is one of the top city destinations in the world.

  7. wolfi says:

Yes, tom, that’s why I took my wife first to Miami Beach and Key West, and then on our second trip to NY and Niagara Falls.

    Those trips were fantastic …

It’s reall great also that since Nov 2008 Hungarians no longer need a Visa for USA and Canada …

  8. Free Mason says:

    Tom,
It’s not so much the sex, it’s the lying that gets politicians in trouble. It’s a matter of trust mostly.

  9. wolfi says:

Of course, lying about sex is the worst thing you can do as a politician. Remember the Spitzer case in NY (I hope I got the name right) ?

  10. tom says:

    Free mason,

i think you exactly are missing the point, for most (continental) european, person’s sex life is actually private matter, no business for others, so you don’t need to actually lie about that in the first place. And with do respect, most people over here really thing you have some troubles with nudity and sex.

I guess here most peopleconsider most amerian politicians (and life in general) really hypocrital, pretend to be e.g. good Christians (“god bless america”) and at the same time, without a blink of an eye, authorize invasion of foreign countries, torture of captured soldiers etc. For practician christian there is a few lessons from bible forgotten

  11. C'est Moi says:

Tom, which side would you rather be on, an army of sheep lead by a lion, or an army of lions lead by a sheep. If leaders only lead by the teachings of the bible, mostly turn the other cheek, we would be living in a bi-polar world, Germany and Japan. Politician by nature are hypocritical, trying please all people by being all things…impossible.

  12. tom says:

i think this enough of this subject ;-) my american friends, i think you are exactly missing the point why lot of europeans have difficult times taking americans seriously – while same time appreciating other parts of the society – the acceptance of success, promotion of entrepeneurship etc. Anyhow, i am more than happy to continue discussion in proper sauna, all happily sitting together naked ;-)

  13. Free Mason says:

    tom,
“i think you exactly are missing the point” not me.
The idea is this: if the politician is caught lying to his wife how could he be trusted to tell the truth to the voters? It is simple, basic logic. But again, logic is not your strong suit, is it, sauna stalker?
