2009 ended with a rude shock for a robber who attempted to stick up a jewelry shop in Győr on Thursday using a Taser, or some other variety of electroshock weapon. After lurking around the store pretending to use the gizmo as a phone, the robber grabbed a salesgirl by the hair and threatened to give her a jolt unless she turned over the jewels. But the plan sputtered when two pedestrians saw the commotion and, somewhat shockingly, intervened. The cops nabbed the robber, one can only hope after making him pretend again to use his sokkoló as a phone, this time turned on. [nol.hu]
