Dumpster-Diving Dogs Give Police "Heads-up" Over Rotting Corpse, and Other Local Body Parts News
A pair of German Shepherds recently helped the Pécs police find a dead body that had either come to rest or been dumped next to a dumpster (right) on the outskirts of the leafy southern capital. According to (where else) Blikk, the grisly discovery was made by the owner of the dogs, when he found them playing with a human head and an arm. The man quickly called the police, who in turn quickly traced the trouble to said dumpster, where they found the remaining remains of a 60-year-old man, minus a second missing arm. The cause of the man's death has not been established, but everyone was relieved to discover that he was already dead when the dogs dug in.
And in very related news, bones belonging to several people were recently found in a disused waste collection center down in the southwest town of Sellye, southwest Hungary, bama.hu reports. Police were notified and brought in whoever they bring in during situations like this, who confirmed that the bones indeed once belonged to humans.
Happily, everyone now thinks the whole thing was just a silly 'ole mix-up, as the earth in which the remains were found came from a construction site that was "formerly a cemetery." Whatever the fuck that means.
And just so no one starts spreading any salacious rumors, there is absolutely no evidence either case was part of any kind of graverobbing orgy by Norwegian medical students, as they both happened around Halloween, when the usual suspects were all puking on each other at Iguana.
Not very dignified to re-inter those bodies in unconsecrated ground. Surely that was a stipulation made before the builder moved in. What about families having to travel all around Hungary just to visit their dearly departed and twice removed.
