Bucolic Scenery and Invigorating, Organic Lifestyles Fails to Prevent Hungarians in Western Romania from Offing Themselves Like Bummed-Out Swedes
There's apparently an epidemic of suicide going on in villages containing lots of ethnic Hungarians in western Romania. According to a story in local daily Nyugati Jelen picked up and chewed over here in the motherland, a disproportional number of self-offings in Arad county are taking place in places like Pécska (Pecica), Nagylak (Nadlac), Tornya (Turnu) and Vadász (Vanatori), some of which are pictured above.
