Get Your Protest On (I): Wizz Air Takes Aim at Wizzairsucks.com

Regular readers will know that I'm no fan of sorta-Hungarian budget airline Wizz Air, being delayed on average three and a half hours the few times I've flown with them. They aren't exactly known for good customer service either. There's also their service fees table which boggles the mind. With this in mind, some individual not affiliated with us at all launched the site wizzairsucks.com after failing to get a response to a complaint letter. While this site has been online for months, said letter has not been answered, but Wizz Air's lawyers did contact the operator, meaning if you want to join in on the fun (and I'm sure plenty of you have horror stories to share), get involved before they pull the plug.
Fly Malev: if you book far enough in advance Malev is often cheaper
as you dont have to pay for luggage/snacks/drinks/expensive call
centres etc. You can check in online and choose your own seat and
have a 23 kg luggage allowance. The service is pleasant and as as
Malev is a proper airline they will give you the proper
compensation for delays. Malev is even doing one way tickets at
good prices - 24,000 to london, next month. And no, i dont work
for Malev, I just rediscovered the joys of proper airlines.
No contest, really.
If you want a budget price you can expect a budget service,it always amazes me how idiots expect to pay next to nothing and then complain when they get the bare minimum-tough shit.agree with cosmopolitan-fly with a real air line .
Having flown with Wizz and Ryanair and Easyjet, I'd say the only one of those I'd fly with again is Easyjet. They cost somewhat more than Ryanair or Wizz, but they treat you like a human.
Is the "Customer Service Fee" table for real? It blows the mind. And I guess no government in the laughable EU has got anythong to do with this?
Stupid, idiotic EU. They tell the Iranians how to hold an election, meanwhile their own ragtag collection of derelict member states is falling apart at the seam.
Man, I really feel sorry for people living in Central and Eastern Europe, if the only "choice" they would have is between flying on WizzAir, RyanAir, or Malev.
Long live WizzAirSuck.com!!!
I've always been lucky I guess, always got good punctual service on Wizz. But last time I looked their check in luggage was down to about 15kg for double the price Easyjet charges for 20kgs (don't quote me on that) so I don't bother with them anymore. Malev can be cheap and always reliable with me, but I've noticed they only serve water or juice, no more booze :-( And BA has stopped giving out those cardboard/shoe sole confection they call food on european flights. Problem is that as the fapadosok get worse, the full service airlines are cutting back too. FYI, Ryanair and SkyEurope (who went bust) have just been fined 10 million forints each by the Hungarian govt for misleaeding customers.
ribizlix, Hungary sux! What else could one expect, after all?
