Happy Gay Tax Day!

Let us be the first to wish you happy Hungary gay marriage day! Okay, so it's not actually complete marriage - the new brides and grooms can't automatically take each others' names, or adopt little kids to turn gay (just kidding). But all the other joys of marriage are there for the taking, including a right to share in employment, social and immigration benefits. And, of course, the right to do like most Hungarian couples, and get divorced! Unfortunately, if you're planning on throwing a bazi nagy buzi lagzi you'll need to budget an extra 5%, because the other big legal change today in Hungary is that ÁFA (VAT) goes up from 20% to 25%.
