Wizzair Launch New “Stockholm Syndrome” Service

wizz-in-it.jpgWith the long weekend arriving, lots of folks are probably preparing to fly out of town. But if you’re traveling on Wizzair, we might suggest you pack some supplies. First, as we noted on Wednesday, a Wizzair plane headed to the Netherlands had to turn back to Budapest after a malfunction. Now reader M. A. points us as this harrowing story on index.hu about how on Tuesday some 50 Hungarians were stranded in Stockholm for 18 hours because the plane scheduled to bring them home was late. According to some of the passengers, they were not given any food or drinks during their wait, and were left to guess about when they’d get home. Happily, the law holds that each is entitled to €250, or roughly what it will cost them in toll calls to collect their compensation.
