Google Gaffe (I): Foreigners as Clueless About Hungary as Previously Thought

Via the trusty mailbag we received a tip to check out this blog post about how Google Maps has recently taken a shine to adding an unnecessary "e" to the end of Budapest in its address search results, which the image above highlights. The best part are the comments, where one reader comments that locals spell the city's name with an added "e," stating that "Budapeste" is how it's spelled in Hungarian, before adding a link to the Portuguese-language Wikipedia to back up his assertion, which of course is standard procedure for all nations when you want to know how what the locals call their city...
