Hungary Now Officially the Land of Uncool 80s ‘Tards!

And we run, we run so far away from this

So if you weren’t planning to go to tonight’s installment of the New Wave Station 80′s retro party, here’s another reason to get out your best skinny tie and peg-leg pants and head over: Hungary is now officially the land where the 1980s never ended. Really!

As you may recall, last week Caboodle.hu had a story about Hungary’s new official tourism promotion campaign, which features all kinds of goofy new slogans aimed at pulling in punters from around the world.

But what the story didn’t include was a link to this gallery of predictably goofy new promotional posters, among which is the very, very nyolcvanas évek tableaux above. So there you have it: dressing up like a fool and dancing like a ‘tard to the worst music ever created by white people isn’t just fun, it’s your patriotic duty. So go, even if you really want to run, run so far away…
