Retirees Teabagging Their Way Around the Vizitdíj
Some crafty retirees have figured out a way to get around the much derided vizitdíj, (visit fee) you have to pay to the doctor whenever you go, according to a report over at 168ora.hu. According to the piece, since herbal teas cost about half as much when you have a prescription, the elderly have been asking for multiple tea prescriptions when they visit the doctor, thus more than offsetting the Ft 300 they have to pay whenever they need something looked at. And where does the money come from that offsets the tea price? Why, from the health insurance scheme, meaning that if they get a prescription for the three pricier teas, the government has spent more on them than they took in with the fee. What this thus again proves is don't screw with the elderly, not only because they vote, but if they aren't senile, they have plenty of time on their hands to figure out a way to screw you right back.
