No Parádé This Year, But The After-Party Goes On

People planning to be in ecstasy (or on it) while getting trashed and hoping to see topless women gyrating on trucks will be saddened to learn that this year's Parádé, Budapest's own version of the Berlin Love Parade, has been canceled, writes Blikk. Due to noise, trash and a lack of sponsors, the parade will not be held, being replaced this year by the "Parádé Bónusz" to be held at the Népstadionkert on Saturday, August 25, which will feature over fifty DJs, including some notable international acts. Tickets will be Ft 4,000 in advance, and Ft 5,000 at the door.
I have been to the Budapest Parade for several years now, and even to an afterparty last year, and there is no way the afterparty can make up for the lack of a parade. What a sad day in history when the parade was cancelled. It was a truly unique event, that made Budapest even more special.
