The Joke's on Ivan as Malév Sold to Russian-Backed Firm
After seven attempts to privatize Malév, the Hungarian state has finally found a new owner for the perennially money-losing national airline, in the form of a consortium backed by Russian tycoon Boris Abramovich. (Not to be confused with Roman Abramovich, the little guy who owns that big football club in England.) Naturally, given the six previous failed attempts, we'll want to see some pretty solid proof before assuming that No. 7 is actually a done deal. (The Russians must apparently still get the approval of the airline's unions, and pony up the purchase price.) Moreover, you'd think that, if the sale is really going forward, you'd hear more griping about the nationality of the winner of the tender. Though after six failed attempts to offload Malév, maybe even Hungary's nationalists have figured out that whoever wins the thing is going to wish they lost.
Well, if this is true I will be flying Delta from the states from now on. Of course with Delta in bankruptcy who knows who I'll be flying with next. Hmm, maybe British Air to london then Wiz to Budapest.
Never fly on Malev again!!!!
It is in Boris Abramovich plan that reducing employee?
Yeh that is calling for problems, we see what is on the horizon.
Russain built air plain? Crash? I have no trust in this whole deal.
You can laugh all the way to the BANK!!!!
ROMAN ABRAMOVICH IS NOT JUST A CHELSEA GOD BUT A FOOTBALL GOD TOO, TO ALL SMALLER CLUBS. He loves this sport and he is doing a lot for the development of the infrastructure of the Russian game.
HE IS INJECTING HIS OWN MONEY IN THE INDUSTRY OF WORLD FOOTBALL TO ALL CLUBS THAT ARE BUYING THEIR PLAYERS AND ALSO MAKING FOOTBALL INTERESTING AGAIN WITH MORE COMPETITION IN THE LEAGUE & EUROPEAN CUP.
