All Europe Goes Queer for Mr. Gay Hungary

It's not every day that were are proud to call Hungary our home, but boy oh boy are we proud today, even given the slight twinge of embarrassment at only now finding out that Mr. Gay Hungary is now Mr. Gay Europe. That's right: over the weekend 29-year-old Nándor Gyöngyösi (above) was named MGE in Amsterdam, beating back contenders from across the continent, and almost giving us a double coronary with the above pic.
According to origo.hu, Gyöngyösi - who is known to his friends as "Nándi" - works as a computer graphic designer in Miskolc, and likes swimming, traveling and working out. As a winner of the European contest, Nándi will go on to the "Mr. Gay World" contest in Palm Springs, California this October. When he was chosen MGH in July, Nándi said "Hungarians generally think that gays are all feminine boys, and I would like to prove that this is not the case." No word on when or how he is going to prove this, but man we sure hope we're not as late for that as we were for this.
