but seriously
Evil Slovak Forces Gather Across Border, EU Bares Teeth

The renewed threat from north of the border is even worse than we thought after Ján Slota, the man who advocated razing Budapest, entered into Slovakia's new and highly dodgy coalition government this week. The crumb of comfort is that at least Robert Fico's populist socialist SMER party has just ousted the guys that put Hungary firmly in the economic shade. Unfortunately, the new premier has also just signed a coalition deal with Slota's frightening SNS party, which won 11.6% of the vote on the back of its outspoken anti-Magyar stance (among other things).
Thankfully, we are not the only ones worried about our most unfriendly neighbor's warmongering new leadership, although with a man who called Hungarians "scoundrels" in their ranks, we have more cause for concern than most. The boys and girls at the EU are also scowling angrily, with the Socialist Group in the European Parliament condemning the coalition and regarding its expulsion from its admittedly toothless organization as "inevitable." Meanwhile, the European People's Party-European Democrats (EPP-ED) has created a "monitoring team" to keep an eye on those dastardly and dangerous Slovaks. The question is, will they step in when the tanks (like the Skoda T-21 pictured) start rolling across the border?
