Bush to Bunk Down in Budapest Hipster Boozing Heaven

As we reported yesterday, U.S. President George W. Bush has been having a bitch of a time finding a place to stay during his one-day visit to Hungary next week, as he's traveling with an entourage bigger than J. Lo and forgot to make plans until the very last moment. As a result, his first choices for lodging - the familiar American chain hotels on the Danube - were unavailable. But it seems that in this case he's going to be rewarded for his dawdling, because instead of being stuck with other American tourists on the river, he's going to be staying in the gritty heart of Pest, right near some of Budapest's heppenist bars and clubs.
According to fn.hu, the POTUS and his traveling companions will bunk down at the recently-opened New York Palace hotel on Blaha Lujza tér. The police have contacted the hotel, and we assume the guys with the earpieces are over there right now. For the length of the visit, the building and its surroundings will be secured.
Being a teetotaler, and a deadly square to boot, we don't expect Dubya to make a drop-in appearance at any of the nearby hotspots. (You can find out what's in the neighborhood by mousing over the little dots on this map.) And a good thing too, because the bomb-sniffing dogs his goons will have with him can probably sniff out more than just explosives.
