Critical Mass: Two Wheels Good, Four Wheels Bad
Earth Day is about everything good on this planet: fresh air, energy, sights, sounds and getting together, sharing in a good vibe and, of course, sticking it to aggressive motorists ruining it for everyone else. So if you care even the slightest bit about saving the world and having a damn fine time of it, get on your bike and join the hordes tomorrow afternoon. Oh yes, it's Critical Mass time and the streets of Budapest will once again be awash with two-wheeled tree-huggers. The idea is to peacefully terrorize the city's otherwise frighteningly dominant and inconsiderate driving population while sipping on fair trade coffee, enjoying the odd independent film or concert, BMX stunt, tree-planting and anything else, as long as it makes you feel nice and green. The focal point of the event will be Felvonulási tér (the large car park to the right of Heroes' Square, but the actual procession will begin on the corner of Újpesti rakpart and Dráva utca. Oh, and don't worry if you can't find it, you can just follow the other pedal-powered folk. Vive la revolution!
