In another model-related story no doubt still making waves a week or so after we forgot to post it, Hungary has a new face, and its named Réka Ebergényi. According to tabloid Színes Bulvár lap, the beauty from Sopron has been featured on posters in Paris, Milan and New York. Moreover, the US edition of fashion mag Elle called her “the most precious face of Hungary,” or something that sounds even better when not translated from English into Hungarian and then back into English.
This is big news for the simple reason that, despite having lots of beautiful women, Hungary doesn’t have many top models. The 24-year-old Ebergényi, however, is the real deal. In her travels she has been to “half of the world,” and has worked with such master models as Heidi Klum, Naomi Campbell and Karolina Kurkova. Her face has been used to promote Lancôme cosmetics, and her knockout body featured in Victoria’s Secret fashion shows and the famous swimsuit edition of Sports Illustrated. Moreover, Ebergényi seems to be living like a proper supermodel, hanging out with such celebs as Val Kilmer and Duran Duran. Unfortunately, like most supermodels, she doesn’t live in Budapest, and is instead house-hunting in Manhattan. But it was certainly nice while it lasted.
