Girls Gone Wild (II): M5 Road Rage Ends in Hail of Bullets

In perhaps Hungary's finest-ever story of female road-rage not involving a porn star, police on Sunday were forced to shoot out the tires of a car being driven by a woman from Kecskemét who, among other moving violations, tried to run down one of the cops. The incident took place somewhere south of Budapest on the M5 motorway, where the Suzuki Ignis being driven by the 37-year old unidentified woman was spotted driving on the shoulder with the emergency blinkers on. After puttering on for six kilometers, the driver noticed an approaching police car, locked her doors and started backing up, crashing into a VW Transporter. And then things really started to get rolling.
Having made mincemeat of the VW, the woman started going forward again, and rammed into one of the cops, who had gotten out of his car to check out what was going on. Then she turned the car around and headed the wrong way down the motorway, hitting 100-110 k/ph before another officer shot out two of her tires. After turning the car around a few more times, the woman was eventually forced to stop, because of the traffic jam resulting from the chaos.
Even after stopping, however, the woman refused to leave the car, leading the police to smash open the windows and pull her out. According to Blikk, after being arrested the woman was unable to give a "rational explanation" for her actions.
