From the Doggy-Bag: When Animals Attack Celebrities
Okay, so we tried to get you interested in stories about Hungarian celebrities, and that didn't work. You didn't care! Then we tried to tempt you with stories about animal-related crime, and that didn't really work, either. But we're not quitting! No, we're going to give it one last heave, by combining our two least popular features into one mega-pointless and tiresome item: the Celebrity Animal Crime Blotter. Just try and not get a kick out of this. Not too hard, though.
Roma reality TV show star Győzike was hospitalized after he fell off a donkey the weekend before last. According to Színes Bulvár Lap, he landed on his spine and cracked his fourth and fifth vertebras. The accident happened on a horse farm where the Gáspár family was visiting the honorary consul of the Democratic Republic of Congo, Sándor Balogh. Győzike, who by coincidence has had serveral recent brushes with serious animal-related crime, apparently enjoys horseback riding, and thought he would have no problem with donkey-riding. The ass, however, had other ideas, and kicked Győzike's big fat Roma ass to the ground. "I don't want to talk about my condition because I have big pains and I'm terribly tired," Győzike told Színes Bulvár lap, while his wife Bea said she had "no idea what will happen to us if his injury proves to be permanent."
A pigeon pooped on journalist and star reporter László Palik at his wedding with RTL Klub's Anikó Marsi, also the weekend before last. Hungary's "dream couple" got married at the ceremonial hall of the swanky Corinthia Grand Hotel Royal. Nearly four hundred guest attended the joyous event. After the ceremony, relatives and guests congratulated the happy couple, and then came the surprise: twelve white doves. "One of them pooped on me," Palik announced to the crowd, according to Színes Bulvár lap. "Really! Now somebody shake hands with me!" he shouted, but nobody would.
An old lady sent a threatening letter to former reality show star Anikó Molnár, saying she would poison Molnár's dogs. The former star of "Nagy Ő" ("The Bachelorette") writes in her blog: "Kisné Nagy Éva, a grandma of Pomáz [the suburban town where they live] thinks that if I like dogs so much she should threaten mine with poisoning. Can you believe there are such people???" In the letter, the grandma allegedly wrote that the dogs are always in the street, because the gate is open, and the kids at the nearby school are afraid, because the animals can enter the schoolyard. Anikó, however, said that her electric gate is always closed and there is a fence around her yard, so her dogs never go out alone.
