Fun for Kids (II): Cops Investigating Minor's Playboy Spread
The Budapest Police have started an investigation into some photos that appeared in last month's issue of Hungarian Playboy. The pics in question feature Dóri (left) a dancer (gida) for the band R-Go, and aroused the attention of the fuzz because the subject is only 17, and according to Hungarian law it is a crime to take or distribute pornographic photos of minors, meaning those under 18. Who knew!According to a full (though fully G-rated) report on Index.hu, Budapest police press chief Capt. László Barta confirmed that the force's child and youth protection department started an investigation "in relation to photographs taken of a dancer of a light music band" on September 30, having been tipped off by an unidentified snitch. Currently the police are collecting and evaluating data and looking for an unknown perpetrator accused of "the crime of taking illegal pornographic photos," Barta said.
For his part, Playboy Editor-in-Chief Péter Radnai (right) insists that the pics of Dóri, which were snapped by photog Pál Nánási, are by no means "illegal pornographic photos," adding that in general "the photos published in our magazine are far from being pornographic." Instead, he called them "artistic nudes," which, given some other locally-shot girly shots we've seen strikes us as the understatement of the year. "It is true that Dóri is naked in the pictures, but you can't even see her breasts," explained Lili Várdy, the PR director for parent company Marquard Média. Either way, the folks at Playboy appear to have gone out of their way to make sure everything was above-board, as they signed a contract with the girl's parents, and even got permission from the manager of her band.
Meanwhile, just in case you are wondering, "illegal pornographic photos" are considered to be those that can arouse sexual desire. Or, more specifically, those that can arouse sexual desire in policemen, because whether a photo is judged pornographic or not depends on what the police say.
