Hungarian Space Cadet Takes Foreigners for Ride

Just when we thought Anettka could shock us no more, the perpetually half-naked talk-show hostess delivers again. If you hadn't heard, Anettka recently decided to become an astronaut. (Yes, really.) And while no one in Hungary expects her to blast off to space any time soon, she is traveling the world convincing hapless foreigners that she is only inches away from becoming the first Hungarian woman to orbit the Earth. "People laugh at me at home, but in other countries, I'm respected for my astronaut ambitions," said the woman who once auctioned off the virginity of one of her guests on live TV.

According to a stunner of a story on girl portal velvet.hu, Anettka has become a "role model" for youth in Japan, where she recently visited the Kagoshima Space Center, an honor that even Bertalan Farkas has not enjoyed, despite having made history as Hungary's first űrhajós ("spaceship man") back in 1980.

Not only that, while on vacation in Palau, the local government decided to name an island after Anettka, and her photo will be included on postcards in the future as the first Hungarian astronaut who visited the remote Pacific island nation.

According to an earlier article in tabloid Színes bulvár lap, Anettka had wanted to start her training in March, but was forced to put it off until June, because of the cold.

Unfortunately, bad weather is just one of the things standing between Anettka and outer space. As she is not a scientist or professional astronaut, she will probably have to pay for the honor of being Hungary's first űrhajósnő, and the going rate is around $20 million. But if all else fails, she will always be able to say that she was the first to be named the most irritating person in Hungary, which in this day and age can't be far behind.
