TV News Round-up: Horny, Drunk and Libelous Edition

• Commercial channel TV2 is suing Színes bulvár lap for publishing misleading and false information about its shows and their casts. According to index.hu, the tabloid is accused of falsely reporting that a serious accident had occurred on the set of the channel's new show "Jóban-rosszban" ("In Good and Bad" or, more accurately, "Come Rain or Shine"). While the piece allegedly alleged that Roland Damu (above left), who plays "Előd Várnagy" on the show, had grievously injured a member of the show's crew, Damu and the crew member in question now insist that he only lightly tapped the guy with a car, leading to nothing more than a harmless fall onto the ground. Meanwhile, the bogus story is said to have caused Damu's family acute distress. "My mother almost had a nervous breakdown and called me crying," Damu said. Oh brother.
More important TV news updates, including an on-air come-on and two tales of broadcast dipsomania, after the jump...
• According to Színes bulvár lap rival Blikk, Gábor "Bocsi" Bochkor (second from left) currently host of TV2's "Csáó Darwin!", was allegedly hit on by one of the show's contestants, 21-year-old Hajni Hornyák (middle), even though Hornyák knew full well that Bochkor is going out with Anikó Molnár of "The Bachelorette" fame (second from right). Later, however, both Bocsi and Hajni insisted the encounter was completely innocent. "I only whispered in his ear that my boobs were real," Hornyák said. Frankly, this a) doesn't sound so innocent to us; and b) at least judging from these, doesn't sound very plausible either, even if the allegedly non-horny Hornyák has her push-up bra permanently set on "stun." No word if the incident caused anyone to suffer physical injury or have a nervous breakdown, or is otherwise expected to lead to any lawsuits.
• Former MTV talking head Sándor Friderikusz (right) fessed up to being caught drunk-driving by the police last week, while at the same time charging that the cops waited for him outside a restaurant before making him breathe into the tube, walk the line, or do whatever else they do these days to determine if someone is driving under the influence. For their part, the cops insisted they only spotted Friderikusz when he failed to use his turn signals. We're going to have to side with the police on this one; if they were really set on nabbing drunken TV presenters, all they would have to do is wait outside of MTV's studios for István Palffy to finish slurring his way through the evening news.
