Dog's Commute Brings Metro to Halt; Stray's Fate Unknown
Everyone knows that dogs like hanging out with people, but one local mutt took it to the extreme this morning, when it wandered into the Deák tér metro station, causing a ruckus that led to the temporary halting of traffic in and out of Budapest's most strategic subway exchange. However, according to a report on Index.hu, the pooch was captured within five minutes and "led out of the metro." Our guess is that it had not bought a ticket and, when stopped by the authorities, had neither enough money nor, being a stray dog, proper identification. (That, or the police mistook it for a certain "well-built" black and white tomcat.) Either way, we hope the police didn't keep the dog detained for too long; it was obviously in a hurry to get somewhere.
